Portugal U16 has just completed a memorable international trip to Turkey, where the squad spent a full week training, competing and growing together as a team. From the moment they landed on Tuesday, October 28th, the players were focused on making the most of their time abroad and preparing for the matches that lay ahead.

The following day the group got straight to work with a training session led by their coaching staff, setting the tone for a week built around discipline, improvement and shared ambition. On Thursday, October 30th, Portugal kicked off their Football Federation Cup campaign with a match against Turkey U16. It was a challenging opener, but the team showed strong organisation, spirit and a clear drive to perform at their best and win the match 0-2.

Friday began with another training session, after which the players had time to rest at the hotel, allowing them to recover properly before the next match. That preparation paid off on Saturday, when Portugal faced Wales U16. The team delivered a confident and controlled performance, securing a well-deserved 3-0 victory after 90 minutes of steady, focused play.

The following two days were dedicated to training, giving the boys a chance to fine-tune their approach and get ready for their next big challenge against England. These sessions helped the group reset, sharpen their teamwork and build momentum heading into the final stages of the tournament.

On November 4th, Portugal stepped onto the pitch for the final of the Football Federation Cup, meeting England U16 in a tense battle for the title. After an intense match with high pressure on both sides, Portugal managed to score twice and claimed the tournament win, a moment that reflected the hard work and determination the team had shown all week.
