Tour Overview
From August 18th to August 24th, Atlanta United U15 headed to the United Kingdom for friendly matches and participation in the Merseyside Cup U15.

Atlanta United U15 just got back from an amazing international trip to England — a week full of football, learning, and experiences that the players will never forget.
The journey started on Sunday, August 18, when the team landed in London and went on a sightseeing tour around the city. From famous landmarks to the busy streets, it was the perfect way to kick things off. For many players, it was their first time in London, and exploring the city together made the group feel even closer as a team.
On Monday came the first big challenge: a friendly against Chelsea FC. Playing one of the top academies in Europe was a huge test, but also a chance to see what it takes to compete at that level. The game gave the players both tough lessons and a boost of confidence.
Tuesday took the team north to Liverpool for a tour at Anfield. Walking through the stadium, the stands, and especially the players’ tunnel gave everyone a special feeling. It was a reminder of the history and passion that make football so special.
Wednesday and Thursday were all about the Merseyside International Cup. The tournament brought together academy teams from across Europe and North America, and the level of play was intense. With opponents like Liverpool and Crystal Palace, Atlanta had to adapt quickly, showing resilience and teamwork in every match. By the end of the tournament, every player walked away stronger and smarter from the experience.
Friday wrapped things up in style with a friendly against Manchester City FC. The group then headed to the Etihad Stadium to watch Man City take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Seeing world-class football live, with the atmosphere of thousands of fans, was the ultimate inspiration.
On Saturday, August 24, the trip came to an end as the team returned home. They brought back not just memories of amazing matches and cultural highlights, but also valuable lessons that will stick with them in their football journey. This trip wasn’t just about playing games — it was about growing as players, as teammates, and as people.
