Columbus Crew U15 recently returned from an incredible international trip to England — a week filled with football, development opportunities, and unforgettable experiences both on and off the pitch.

The team arrived in London on Monday, August 19th, ready to begin their trip. The following day, the players took part in a training session hosted by FC St Helens, sharpening their skills in preparation for the matches ahead. That same day, the group traveled to Liverpool for a stadium tour of Anfield, the iconic home of Liverpool FC, followed by sightseeing in the city.

Wednesday, August 21st marked the first day of the Merseyside International Cup, where Columbus Crew competed against top academie teams like Aston Villa, Leeds United and more. The competition continued on Thursday, with another full day of intense and challenging matches. Throughout the tournament, the team displayed excellent teamwork, resilience, and a commitment to competing at the highest level.

On Friday, August 23rd, the team took on Wolverhampton Wanderers in a competitive friendly match, followed by another test on Saturday, against Brighton & Hove Albion FC. Later that evening, the group enjoyed a Premier League experience, attending the live match between Fulham and Manchester United at Craven Cottage — a true highlight of the trip.

After a packed schedule, the team spent Sunday, exploring more of London, taking in the culture and landmarks of one of the world’s most iconic cities.

The trip came to a close on Monday, August 26th, as the team returned home — full of memories, growth, and valuable international experience.

With friendly matches, professional environments, and cultural exploration, this trip was a major step in the continued development of these young athletes. Columbus Crew U15 returns home stronger, more connected, and inspired for the journey ahead.
