United Kingdom Tour

5 – 15 April 2023

Crossfire Premier Girls 2009, United Kingdom Tour

from the 5th till the 15th of April the Crossfire Premier Girls traveled all the way from Seattle in the United States to the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands to create an unforgettable experience for the U14 girls from Crossfire Premier.

During this trip they played several games against big (international) teams like Arsenal FC, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Club Brugge, RSC Anderlecht, Watford FC, Everton, ADO Den Haag and Oxford United. Their journey began in the United Kingdom, where they faced a series of challenging opponents. They started strong with a 5-0 victory over Oxford United, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the field. The momentum continued as they dominated Watford with an impressive 11-0 win, leaving their opponents in awe of their attacking prowess.

One of the highlights of their time in the UK was the match against Arsenal FC, a renowned club with a rich history. In a fiercely contested battle, the Crossfire Premier girls displayed their resilience and determination, holding Arsenal to a hard-fought 1-1 draw. The girls demonstrated their ability to compete at the highest level, earning respect from both their opponents and spectators alike. The trip concluded in the UK with a commanding 5-1 victory over Everton, solidifying their successful run.

Next, the team traveled to Belgium, where they faced RSC Anderlecht. The girls continued their impressive form, delivering an outstanding performance and securing a dominant 6-0 victory. The victory over such a strong opponent further established Crossfire Premier as a formidable force in youth football. However, their journey in Brussels took a slight turn as they faced Club Brugge, suffering a 4-2 loss. Despite the defeat, the team showcased their fighting spirit and refused to back down against tough opposition.

The final leg of their trip took them to the Netherlands, where they went head-to-head against esteemed Dutch teams. In a tightly contested match against Feyenoord Rotterdam, Crossfire Premier fought bravely but ultimately fell short, losing 2-1. The girls exhibited great skill and determination, making it a closely fought encounter. Their last match in the Netherlands was against ADO Den Haag, which ended with a 3-0 loss. Although the result didn’t go in their favor, the team demonstrated resilience and never gave up throughout the match.

Alongside their competitive fixtures, the Crossfire Premier girls also had the opportunity to attend two notable women’s international matches. They witnessed the thrilling clash between England and Brazil on April 6th, soaking up the atmosphere and drawing inspiration from the world-class players on display. Additionally, they watched the match between Belgium and Slovenia, witnessing firsthand the level of competition in women’s football.

Overall, the trip proved to be a valuable experience for the Crossfire Premier girls’ team. They faced high-end opponents, tested their skills, and gained valuable insights into the international football scene. The journey not only strengthened their bond as a team but also provided them with invaluable lessons to carry forward in their future endeavors.
