The team arrived at Schiphol Airport on Tuesday 25 August after their journey from Japan. Following their arrival, the players travelled to the hotel and had time to rest and recover from the long travel day ahead of the busy football programme.

Wednesday marked the start of the football activities, with a training session at VV Dieren. After a good lunch, the players immediately had the chance to put their work into practice in a friendly match against Vitesse U13. The day combined focused preparation with valuable match experience before the team returned for dinner and prepared for another busy day.

Thursday brought another friendly fixture, this time against N.E.C. Nijmegen U13. The match provided another opportunity to test themselves against Dutch opposition and continue their preparations for the tournament. Afterwards, the group visited the N.E.C. Nijmegen stadium for a stadium tour, offering a relaxing activity after the match and a chance to experience another side of Dutch football.

On Friday, the Zutphen U13 Tournament got underway. JFA Tokyo opened their campaign against Chelsea, playing out an exciting 1-1 draw. It was a strong start to the competition and gave the players their first taste of the international tournament atmosphere.

Saturday brought two more fixtures. The team recorded a 1-0 victory over Bayer 04 Leverkusen in their first match of the day before finishing the second tournament day with another 1-0 win, this time against FC Zutphen. With two victories, JFA Tokyo put themselves in a strong position heading into the final day of the competition.

Sunday was the decisive day of the tournament. JFA Tokyo started with a convincing 3-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart, securing their place in the final. The last match of the weekend was against Club Brugge, with the teams remaining level after regular time. The final was ultimately decided by penalties, with Club Brugge taking the victory. Despite the result, reaching the final capped off an impressive tournament for the Japanese side.

After the final, the team returned to the hotel for their final evening in the Netherlands. On Monday morning, it was time to travel back to Schiphol Airport for the journey home to Tokyo, bringing a memorable week to an end.

The Netherlands Tour provided JFA Tokyo U13 with valuable experience both on and off the pitch. Facing teams such as Vitesse, N.E.C. Nijmegen, Chelsea, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart and Club Brugge gave the players the opportunity to experience different styles of football and challenge themselves against international opposition.

With a tournament final, new football experiences and plenty of moments shared as a team, JFA Tokyo U13 can look back on a successful and memorable week in the Netherlands.
