The team arrived on Monday, the 28th of April, at the Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park, where, after checking in and enjoying some free time, the week officially kicked off with a team dinner.

The following morning, the program began with a training session at a nearby field, just a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The players trained hard to prepare for the busy schedule ahead. The afternoon and evening were used for rest and recovery, after which the players went to bed early.

On Wednesday, the team traveled to their new accommodation, Village Hotel Walsall. Later that day, they played their first match against Stoke City FC. It marked Utah Athletic’s first minutes of football on English soil, providing a great opportunity to adjust to the pace and style of the opposition.

Thursday brought the second friendly match, this time against Birmingham City FC. After the morning game, the team spent the afternoon in Birmingham city center, enjoying a relaxing and fun break with teammates and staff.

The next day, the group returned to London, making a memorable stop at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a stadium tour and a visit to the fan shop. They then continued to the Ibis London Heathrow Airport Hotel, where they would stay for the remainder of the trip.

On the 3th of May, the first day of the tournament took place. During this day, the team played matches against Liverpool FC, Queens Park Rangers FC and FC Red & White. These results earned them a third place finish in their group.

On Sunday, the final day of the tournament, the players faced Eastside FC and Hellerup IK. They worked hard, battled for every ball, and gave it their all. Ultimately, Utah Athletic finished in seventh place in the final standings. A great achievement and, above all, an unforgettable experience.

The week came to a close on Monday, May 5th, with an early breakfast, after which the group departed for London Heathrow Airport for the journey home. With a a lot of memories, new friendships, and valuable football experiences, Utah Athletic looks back on an unforgettable week in England.
