We’re excited to welcome Arthur Martens to the Orange Veins team as our new Events & Operations Manager, and as the first Belgian to join the team! Arthur brings a genuine passion for sport, events and everything that happens around them. Sport has always been a big part of his life. Football is a favourite, but his interests go far beyond the pitch. From following Formula 1 and cycling to staying up late for NBA and NFL games, there’s rarely a sporting event Arthur doesn’t know about.
What he enjoys most is everything that comes with sport: the atmosphere, the excitement and the experience of being part of something bigger than the game itself. At 2.06 meters tall, Arthur is also pretty hard to miss at an event, although finding him in a crowd has never really been a problem.
With such a strong interest in sport, studying Sport Management was a natural choice for Arthur. His studies gave him the opportunity to combine his passion for sport with an interest in the organisation, business and operational side of the industry. It was during this journey that his interest in events grew even further.
After graduating, Arthur gained professional experience as a Project Coordinator at Smollan. He then saw an opportunity to bring his experience and passion together at Orange Veins. In his new role, he gets to work behind the scenes of sporting events and help create the kind of experiences he enjoys so much himself.
When Arthur isn’t talking about sport, he’s probably talking about food. Exploring restaurants, discovering new places and enjoying a good drink with friends are some of his favourite ways to spend his free time. He’s also a big fan of dance festivals, so don’t be surprised if you spot him dancing at Tomorrowland.
As the first Belgian at Orange Veins, Arthur is also bringing a little bit of Belgium into the mix. Expect plenty of Belgian humour, strong opinions on Belgian fries and, of course, a few recommendations when it comes to Belgian beer. With his love for sport, events and a good atmosphere, Arthur is looking forward to getting started and becoming part of the Orange Veins team.
