The national football competition of the United States is the MLS (Major League Soccer). The structure of this football league differs from the competitions in Europe. The league is split into an Eastern Conference and Western Conference.
After completing both competitions, a series of play-offs will follow to determine the ultimate champion.
The city of New York has two football clubs that play in the MLS: New York City FC and New York Red Bulls. The match between these teams is called the Hudson River Derby and is always a guarantee for excitement.
